UPDATE FOR TODD THURSDAY 12/31/09 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Everyone,

Todd and I would like to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR! May 2010 be full of BLESSINGS for all!

We know the new year will bring BLESSINGS to Todd and me, Todd continues to show a little improvement each day. He is getting stronger each day and getting a little movement gain each day. Todd continues to hold his cheerful and positive attitude, knowing he is getting better each day. We all wish he would wake up any day with his diaphragm working to get off the vent, but it is just around the corner.

Todd and I discuss his progress each day and do everything we can to speed the process up. Todd has been a real trooper, but we all know that Todd we can expect nothing less from him.

God continues to deliver BLESSINGS to Todd and us each day, letting us know he is in charge, and Todd is recovering.

We are THANKFUL that Todd is here with us, I know I am very THANKFUL!

Please continue those prayers and GOD will continue to deliver as long as we pray for Todd’s healing.

Again, Thanks for every ones support, prayers, care, and love with your support and God’s Blessings this is what continues to carry us through this ordeal.

Love to all,

GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU!

UPDATE FOR TODD FRIDAY DECEMBER 25 2009

Everyone,

Todd has experienced an excellent week. Todd has a little case of pneumonia the past couple of days, but the doctor has jumped right on it and started antibiotics to get Todd well. This is not uncommon due to being on the vent. Todd is working very hard to get off the vent, however he can only do what his diaphragm will allow, but he been doing 10-15 hours a day. This is working his respiratory muscles and will get him strong again. I see Todd getting off the vent within the next few weeks.

Todd and I had an excellent Christmas, we both have a lot to be “THANKFUL” for this year, the most important one is that God keep Todd here for us and God continues to answer our prayers and deliver Blessings each and everyday.

Our Family, Terry, Terri, Kevin, Lauren, Carol and Sheila Nauman came by today and celebrate Christmas with us. It was a really good day for Todd and I with my family spending the day with us at the hospital celebrating this special day.  They really made the day an enjoyable day and we both enjoyed the company and the things everyone has done in order to make this day special for us. THANK YOU ALL!

Todd’s health continues to improve a little each day, vitals are good and stable. They do complete blood work every three days just to stay on top of anything developing. I meet with the Doctors on Thursday and they stated Todd was doing very well, that now its just a time and patients before Todd really takes a jump to get over that hurdle. Its been over 110 days and the worst and longest days are over, THANK GOD!

JUST KEEP THE PRAYERS GOING SO GOD CAN CONTINUE TO ANSWER AND BLESS US EVERYDAY.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR, MAY 2010 BE A GREATER YEAR IN MANY WAYS FOR ALL OF US.

Thank you all for the support, care and love you all have shown us over these past few months.

Love to All
God Bless,

Todd N Jeff

UPDATE FOR TODD MONDAY 11/2/2009 9 AM UPDATE

Everyone,

Todd had a wonderful night and has weaned almost 24 hours @ 10 AM! THIS IS THE GREATEST IMPROVEMENT YET AS FAR AS WEANING!

What does that mean? Todd has done 85 % of the work on breathing, he takes 14-17 breaths per minute, which is norm for us, the machine is only a safety net during the weaning, and does provide a puff of oxygen for every 16 breaths he takes. The POSITIVE to this, Todd’s Diaphragm is working more and stronger which is allowing this to happen!

THE DIAPHRAM waking up and acting strong will allows Todd to work to get off the machine. Now he has to do this for 48 hours first, then four days with no issues and he will be on his way to physical therapy in house rehab, YEAH!!!!!

GOD answered several of our prayers today, THANK YOU GOD!
GOD IS GREAT AND POWERFUL!!

His vitals are great:

BP 119/2
Temp 98.6
Oxygen 97-98%
Heart Rate 85-92

Again thanks to everyone for their support, love and caring, and their time.

Love to all,

God Bless to all,

KEEP THOSE PRAYERS GOING FOR STRENGTH, ENERGY, AND MOBILITY AND TO GET OFF THE VENT NEXT WEEK.

Thanks Jeff N Todd

AGAIN, Todd DOES NOT HAVE THE SWINE FLU or H1N1 FLU per the doctor today. I talk with the Dr and he said that due to Todd’s flu likes symptoms on SUNDAY AND MONDAY, they did a flu test and a small amount of influenza A was showing, but due to it was a small amount his system fault it off, his white blood count is normal as of Thursday.

They have to keep him isolated with the mask until Monday, their policy is 7 days. It is just to keep him from getting sick or catching something from us.

THANK GOD HE WAS NO SICKER THAN HE WAS. THANK YOU GOD!!

Todd is trying to keep a positive attitude, as far as recovery and getting on with rehab in physical therapy.

OUR dear friend Ms. Teri Winn is coming in from Dallas on Sunday to help give me a break to rest, she is like our own mother and everyone should have a chance to meet such a wonderful lady. She is a remarkable person and we both love her dearly and her family. Todd and her daughter Kaycee became friends years back and the family just took us in as part of the family and we are very bless to have them in our lives.

All you folks have been remarkable and very supportive and we will get through this for that reason and GODS BLESSINGS too.  My family, brother, sisters, and sister-in-law, as well as my nephews have been such a remarkable and supportive group for me in this time of need. I LOVE YOU ALL DEEPLY and we appreciate your sincere support and love you have shown both Todd and I.

I just wanted to tell everyone how lucky we are to have such wonderful people in our lives, you will always be blessed.

Everyone, my brother Terry just found out he has the possible cancer and I would like everyone to start prayers for him to recover totally and to be strong and blessed by the grace of GOD. Terry will get through his experience with flying colors because he has been a real big brother and a big supporter for Todd and I both during our crisis.

Keep those prayers going and help us get through this, we are both hanging in there!

Love to all,
GOD BLESS EVERYONE.

He is strong and willing to do all he can do to get well faster! Just knowing he has his own will and a positive attitude is encouragement for me and all of us.

We talk about all the good things in our lives, our true and dear friends that has supported us and continue to support us through this. We know how blessed we are by all of you with the amount of support, love and prayers they you all have showered us with.

God has been “Blessing” us each day with the heeling of Todd, giving us strength, courage, and ability get us through this ordeal.

Todd’s Vitals:
BP 128-78 AVG WHICH IS EXCELLENT
HEART RATE 100-105 STILL LITTLE HIGH
BREATHING 97%- HOWEVER HIS BREATHING LEVEL READING IS NOW @ 753 UP FROM 650 YESTERDAY, THE DOCTORS WANT HIM AT 1000 BEFORE THEY WILL CONSIDER REMOVING THE LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEM!
SUGAR-126 EXCELLENT MEANS HIS OWN SYSTEM IS WORKING CORRECTLY.

The doctors meet with me couple times today and expressed how well he has done in the past 72 hours. They stated he will recover, however it will be a slow process.

As far as the business, Jennie and I with a few other folks hope to re-open our business mid to later of the week. All depends when he is removed from life support. Once he is off life support and own his own we will reopen for sure and get back to our business, but right now everything in my life is focused on Todd and his health in getting well.

Thank You all for EVERYTHING!

God Bless and continue those prayers.

Love to all,

Jeff & Todd

NEXT UPDATE IN PM BETWEEN 6-9PM

UPDATE FOR TODD WEDNESDAY EVENING 9PM

Family/Friends

TEMP 98.8
HEART RATE 92-96
BP 148/95 but up/down all day as per I discussed with some of you today.

Breathing 96%- Todd is doing 70% of the work and machine is issuing 30%

Trying to get him off life support Fri or Sat?? Lets hope depends on how strong he is and how much strength he gains back in his muscles.

Overall and “EXCELLENT” and exciting day. Todd is strong and promises me that he is fighting to get better soon. Todd has gained feeling both arms and hands now, as well he is moving his neck up/down and side to side!

They completed his MRI today he done well during this, however it did wear him down. Great news is he had “NO SWELLING” in the brain or spinal canal. With that said, we are almost positive that he has the West Niles Virus, due to all his symptoms he experienced. The actual WNV blood test will not return until Friday, however the Dr’s believe due to all the antibiotics and hospital care early on, kept the swelling from being extensive and/or lasting for long period of time. This was and is a plus in his recovery due to the severity of the extreme stage of the WNV could of been extreme.

Bottom line, Todd is strong and showing improvement every hour, he is weak and tired after today, therefore I want to limit his visits on Thursday so he can rest up.

If you want to visit I would prefer Fri/Sat/Sun.

I have Someone arriving early Thursday to set with Todd so I can go home and shower and change clothes. I still will not leave him alone nor will I go home at this time to stay.

John, Sandy I really appreciate your time for Tuesday and everyone’s efforts and time, love and support.

The key now is to keep Todd strong, continue to get allot of quality rest and maintain positive attitudes flowing.

CONTINUE THOSE PRAYERS, LOVE AND SUPPORT and lets all “THANK GOD” for the BLESSINGS he has delivered Already.

Much Thanks and Prayers to all

Jeff N Todd
