Mary is thriving at home. She hit the 5 pound mark on Friday. That’s right, they don’t measure in grams anymore. We have memorized the metric system in the past 3 months. It’s going to be hard getting used to pounds and ounces again.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers, Mary is doing so well. Thank you everyone for all that you have done.
I would like to thank Aunt Kini and Uncle Ralph for Mary’s cute bunny. It’s adorable, and we promise to make sure it’s safe here with her.
I would also like to thank my Grandparents, Bampa & Eva for their very generous gift. Mary has all the diapers and wipes she could possibly need until the age of 1!!
I have put together a video of Mary’s NICU journey. Have a great weekend everyone.
Here are a couple of videos I was able to get before the nurse manager came over and almost kicked me out. Pictures only until she leaves the NICU from now on.
I found a way to make my video’s unlisted in YouTube so I’ll be using that as well. All Videos are in HD so you can view them in 720HD.. I didn’t convert anything higher, as I wasn’t sure if it would have worked. Thanks.
Mary’s heart medication has been moved to 3 MCG’s. This is the lowest setting and her vitals are looking great. Currently she is around 150bpm, and the blood pressure is right where they want it to be. O2 sats are 90%
As the blood gas tests come back every 2 hours, if they keep seeing an improvement, they will continue to allow her to breathe on her own and turn down the use of the ventilator. This means that the blood pocket that was in her right lung is clearing and shrinking.
Her skin is very fragile like wet tissue paper and they continue to rub an ointment that interacts with UV light to help protect the skin, and promote growth.
Another Chest X-Ray and Brain Ultrasound in the morning. I will keep you all posted. Thanks to everyone for the prayers, and thoughts.
Here is another picture I took from this afternoon. She is adorable.
I would like to introduce to you our 25 week old baby girl Mary Anastasia Deome. She lost her sister yesterday, but has gained the extra strength from that loss to fight and survive. Please pray for our daughter, as she has a very tough and hard road ahead of her. Thank you to everyone for the support and prayers so far. We truly have great family and friends among us.
